CALGARY, CANADA | The National Safety Council (NSC) has invited Canadian-based technology firm Aware360 to join its Work to Zero Advisory Council. Since 1913, the National Safety Council has used data, expertise and innovation to solve tough workplace safety problems. With thousands of workers still dying each year, NSC is working to change that through its Work to Zero initiative, designed to eliminate workplace fatalities through the use of technology.
As a leader in innovative technology solutions to safeguard employees and save lives, Aware360 is excited to join the council and share insights.
“There’s tremendous movement towards adopting new technologies as an integral part of workplace safety programs”, explained Jim McDade, Aware360’s COO and Advisory Council Member. “We’re eager to learn from others on the Work to Zero Council and share our ideas with the team – with the goal of eliminating injuries and fatalities at work.”
This month, the NSC is hosting the Work to Zero Summit, its second annual event focused solely on the intersection of safety and emerging technology. At the event, attendees will learn how to develop a successful pilot program, cultivate the workforce of the future, mitigate top workplace hazards through technology solutions and network with like-minded peers to generate new insights and ideas.
